O'Higgins FC also known as O'Higgins de Rancagua, is a Chilean football club based in Rancagua, that is current member of Primera División. The club's home stadium is the Estadio Parque El Teniente, opened in 1945 and re–established for the 1962 FIFA World Cup played in the country.

Founded in 1955, the club was named in honour of the country's founding father and supreme director Bernardo O'Higgins, after the merger of the clubs O'Higgins Braden and América de Rancagua. O'Higgins has won two Primera B titles, and in 2013 they won the Torneo de Apertura 2013–14 against Universidad Católica, thanks to the head coach Eduardo Berizzo, who had served as assistant manager to Marcelo Bielsa during his reign with the Chilean national team. " /> The club has a long-standing rivalry with regional neighbours Rangers de Talca. and also with the teams that are more athletic achievements , which are located in the capital of Chile, these are Colo Colo , Universidad de Chile and Universidad Catolica, the Chilean media , provided many refer to those 3 big teams , they are too centralists , often leaving out teams professional soccer provinces , there being so many rivalries between bars of various Chilean football clubs , because of this the government created a law prohibiting the entry of musical instruments , fireworks, flags and canvas, but the fans ignored that restriction most of the time, causing clashes with the Chilean police.
Currently O'Higgins Rancagua is the current champion of the series to the Chilean football after 58 years of waiting. each region in Chile has its football team that represents them and that's the case O'Higgins . Our ultras called TRINCHERA CELESTE (IN ENGLISH TRENCH SKY-BLUE) and identifying the club shield are blue, white , green and yellow at times also using the black color. His shield consists of an escutcheon with the word " O'Higgins " on top. Down in a pentagonal structure three vertical stripes , one white, one green and one yellow , the colors reminiscent of old Braden clubs, O'Higgins Rancagua Institute of America and distributed respectively . Above all , it takes the shape of a phoenix , symbol of the city of Rancagua.
