no this is FC WACKER INNSBRUCK, Tivoli Nord (groups are Verrückte Köpfe - Crazy Heads, I Furiosi, Wacker Unser)
as this picture was made, there was instead of Wacker Unser another group called "Nordpol Innsbruck". This group was very political (left wing group) and the rest of the stand do not want this in that way. so they have to quit their business.


Verrückte Köpfe Innsbruck 1991 is for me the first group in austria which had the mentalita ultra in it.
Ultras Rapid is older - yes (found on 1st feb. 1988) but in the first 3 years the were more like a hooligangroup.
And from 1985 till 1987 Austria Vienna had also a Group called "Austria Wien Ultras", which was - like the "Hamburg Ultras" a Hooliganfirm.

Innsbruck (cause of the close neigbourship to italy) made in the begining of ultramovement in austria the best job,
now Rapid is more perfect and bigger.

Friends of Innsbruck are: Eintracht Frankfurt, Atalanta Bergamo and Ternana Calcio. To other clubs/groups like Ultras Sankt Pauli the only had contacts.

Friends of Rapid are: Panatinaikos, Veneziamestre and Nürnberg. (and between Tornados Rapid and Green Monsters Ferencvaros also a friendship group to group, rest of rapid have good connections)

32 times austrian champion (austrian record), 14 times austrian cup winner, 3 times austrian supercup, 7 times winner of the traditional viennese indoor cup, 1 time winner of the mitropacup, 2 times ec finalist (1985 and 1996), 1 time german champion (1941 against Schalke 04)

Originally found as the “ERSTER WIENER ARBEITER SPORT KLUB” 1898 (first viennese workers club) he changed after a serie of defeats (18 loss in 19 games) the name into SC RAPID WIEN, which was the name till 1978, then they changed the “C” for a “K”. the colours from 1898 to 1905 were blue and red, after then they changed into green and white – until today. To the “new” colours there is a funny story, I don´t know if she is true but she is good:
In the old monarchy, many people can´t read or write and the local transport ass. took colours instead of numbers, the colours of our underground in vienna are a reminicence of this. and all the trams which goes in the western part of vienna had the colours green, so there was a word which means: lets go with the greens watching rapid. It is just a story, but for me a good story.

In the 70s they had as one of the first clubs a sponsor (RAPID WIENERBERGER), in the 80s the went to the stock exchange, but not sucessful. A tradition of RAPID WIEN is that in the 75th minute the whole crowed clapped in their hands, the RAPID VIERTELSTUNDE. It existed since 1922.

As the most popular club in austria, rapid has a long tradition in fanclubs and hooliganism.
In the 70s groups like “GREEN DEVILS”, “TERRORSZENE” and other had a good name all over the country. In 1988 the ULTRAS RAPID started (1st feb) their sucessful history. In the 90s TORNADOS RAPID came and now you have on the eastern stand groups like LORDS RAPID and others. Also a very good group are the GREEN LIONS, which originally came from Linz.

rapid presented the stolen banners from BOYS LENTIA last weekend
they banners were stolen in september after an away game of LASK
the GREEN LIONS, an ultra group from Linz did this.

is the pyro not a crime campaing started by Rapid or just all fans together at once?

UR was one of the founder, but most of the big groups nationwide supports this campaign.
the problem existed mostly in the professional leagues, but sometimes also in lower leagues - its like the clubs like this or not. in some lower leagues its not a problem to use flares, in other there is. if the football association is rich, they do not care about, if not you have to pay.

in austria are many associations:

ÖFB (austrian football ass)
Bundesliga (nationwide - only for the professional football, became 1991 an own ass.)
Regionalligen (3)
and 9 local football association, for each county one.

in vienna the viennese football association (WFV) is very restrective in these things, Ultras Stadlau had to pay in summer at the viennese cup final 1.000 EURO for using 3 flares and two smoke bombs, 200 for each. the problem is, everybody knows you in this league, no wonder, we only have two groups with 15 - 25 members each. so it is no problem to identify you.
