How the brotherhood between Firma (FC Vojvodina) and Lesinari (FC Borac Banjaluka) started
Rare are those friendships between ultra groups that manage to win in long term challenges and obstacles that times make. Basically they are based on good relations between the first crew and when there is a generational change friendships go into oblivion. Fraternal story between vultures and companies began in season1989/90 , when Borac played a match in Novi Sad. Here's how a direct witnesses saw all this, who is now very active in the North stand (we will not mention specific names for obvious reasons): "When I arrived that day at the stadium I was surprised by amazing scene. Specifically, on the additional field was full with both fans, who played a good match of football. When I approached I saw that our first crew and theirs were wasted of alcohol. I have it in memory that a lot vultures had long hair, military boots and a similar situation was with us, but we hade a lot of skinheads." In the same season, messrs returned the hospitality during a visits of Vojvodina in the city on the river Vrbas. Unlike today, when police follows every move of fans, however, the performances were marked by excessive use of alcoholic drinks and the obligatory looting of petrol pumps. It should also be noted that Banja Luka was extremely hot for other groups in ex yu, even the largest fan groups of then country. One of the founders of our group and then leader - Šima has just entered the marital waters, As his future wife, originating from areas around Banja Luka, Šima used this visit to present him to his future family.Can you imagine the facial expressions of the bride's relatives when he came out as the son in law, while his face was painted in a half-white, half red, with a full bus of Intoxicated Vojvodina fans behind him? That is just illustrative to introduce how deep this friendship left traces on some of our members. Then, in season 1990/91. again we went to Banja Luka to our brothers brothers. Our "well-informed source" continues the story: "We played in Banja Luka. Appearance had an enormous impact on me because it was my tenth away match and second over 200 km's from Novi Sad. With my crew I was about 2 o'clock in the morning and we were overexcited. In one bus there was a very good crew full of positive energy. We had two good stops in Croatia, probably at Osijek and Vinkovci pump, where on several occasions quietly put at least 100 boxes of cigars and plenty of beer. Business was blooming when we arrived in Banja Luka and we sold all these boxes on the street, then continued with drinking. Since we arrived early, we met by a small number of vultures and several crews were scattered around the city. Several graffities were writen, wich some still can been seen on the walls of Banja Luka. Me and younger crew with a few vultures visited a hotel with the players and they welcomed us really nicely, allthough the sight of ordinary people was nasty, since we were young and pretty drunk. Buffet was devastated, and all drinks on the table (non-alcoholic, right), salami and honey in boxex ended up in pockets of our combat jackets. We were really proud to behaive like scum. On match in our sector were vultures and we cheered along with the rest of the vultures from the east. There was a snowball fight with the army at the break, which were particularly happy when we pelted them with boxes of cigars. Everything was there that day, and I was even more tied to the frequent habit of going to each guest fruits, which holds me to this day." One of the funniest episodes of this friendship in this period was when we went to Zrenjanin to cheer Borac in handball championship finals in the former Yugoslavia. Here's how a eyewitness saw it: "With a few friends I went to welcome the brothers vultures. Before the match the Indians couldnt believe that we came to cheer for Borac. We were alone for half an hour, alone in the area for visiting supporters with flags and waited for our friends to arrive. Madison was crowded and euphoric. Indians were singing all the time and then belatedly the Vultures arrived. To our great joy, because we thought that they will not make it to the match. But still Proleter won the match, and we jumped in toe court but there was no fuss. Vultures offered us transportation to Novi Sad, although Novi Sad wasent in their way, so the hanging out continued for one hour." The outbreak of civil war in former Yugoslavia froze vultures for a period. Battlefields, prisons and drugs have removed many of the people who built this friendship. Contacts are stopped, the links were executed, but many shared adventures of these groups were a guarantee that the friendship will continue when conditions call for it. The first club from Serbia, which played after was in Banja Luka was FK Vojvodina. The new generation of ultras of both teams resumed the friendship founded by their predecessors. Since then, whether Borac plays a game in Serbia or Vojvodina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, both clubs have support. Also, during the season, both groups are hosting each other on their important matches. During this period, both groups were influenced one another in visual appearance and cheering (layout panels, banners and supporters songs). Firma is known not to cultivate friendly relations with other groups, and because of that brotherhood with vultures, which lasts for two decades, is one of the most beautiful, and binding the tradition of our group.
