Other information: Independiente was founded in Buenos Aires in 1905 and moved to Avellaneda in 1907.

Name of the barra brava: La Barra Del Rojo.

The old stadium of Independiente (the "Doble Visera"). It was the seventh pitch it had the club in it's history (the earlier stadiums were small and wooden). That stadium was build in 1928 and demolished in 2006 (was the first stadium of cement in Latin America). In the 60's the stadium was expanded with the construction of a small second tray. Came to have capacity for 70000 spectators in the 70's. After, with the replacement of bleachers to seats in some parts of the stadium, the capacity was down. Since 1994 the capacity was definitely in 52823 spectators until the demolition.
