| The greatest game, footbal remained without a phenomenon after the Brazilian striker Ronaldo officially ended his career today, 12 months earlier than planned.
This was confirmed after he told the reporters this afternoon at home. "As you might guess from everything you've heard over the weekend, I'm here today to acknowledge that i'm canceling my career as a professional footballer".
Earlier in the interview he said: "I can not stand it anymore. I wanted to go on, but I can not. I had plans to continue, but I could not fulfill this intention. My time is up, but god damn, it was great."
He retired as one of the best players in the world. Three times, he became № 1 player of the year voted by FIFA, he was the most effective striker in the World Championships with his 15 goals.
More than ten years his was a star on European ground, after 273 goals in 402 appearances for PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
The only distinction which he slipped in his brilliant career, is the Champions League trophy and he did not forget it.
"Football has given me many things. But I played with such passion that the fact that I have not won the Champions League does not give me peace. This is the bowl that everyone would love to lift over his head," he says.
"This is what I would say to a child whose football career just beginning: football is not just a joy, but you have to be dedicated like a real man."
When a child dreams of becoming a footballer, then he imagines the magic that he sees on TV, but it is not like that.
You have to fight and suffer, you must have earned a name and create your own history, "said Ronaldo finally.
Former coach of Inter Milan and CSKA Sofia, Luigi Simoni said that the football player Ronaldo was the best player who he has ever seen.
Simoni was the coach of Inter back then, which together with Ronaldo they won the UEFA Cup in 1998.
For Inter Ronaldo drove 59 goals in 100 matches. "Ronaldo? Just ... for me he was the best. Without doubt the best player I ever coached," said Simoni.
"He was a formidable talent. There was more speed than the others and liked to make incredible things on the pitch.
The workout was even stronger than in matches. Sometimes I stayed dizzy from things he had done. For him, however, was normal ... but only for him.
Unfortunately his career was marked by many bad injuries. Otherwise, he could play some more, "added the Italian spec.
